Providing opportunities for Iraqi youth to interact with young people around the globe is one of the key elements in fostering a sense of understanding and compassion among these young people.
Entrusting Iraq's youth with the responsibility of improving conditions within their communities and rewarding them for their efforts help instill confidence and the belief that they can make a difference and accomplish what they set out to do.
With this in mind, Generation Iraq's School Partners Program and the Aziz Community Service Award both aim at restoring hope by building bridges that will link Iraq's youth to the outside world as well as to their own communities, helping to develop within them a sense of provide, integrity, and understanding.
Aziz Community Award
Generation Iraq strives to instill a sense of pride and responsibility in Iraq's youth, helping create a generation of Iraqis determined to improve the quality of their lives and build a better future for themselves, their families, and their country.
With this in mind, Generation Iraq offers one award each month to an outstanding individual who has recognized a specific need with this his/her community and taken the necessary steps to solve the problem and remedy the situation.
The hope is that these awards will encourage and motivate young people across Iraq to contribute to the rebuilding of their communities and their country as a whole.
